Pest control in Sacramento

Termites in Sacramento homes

Termites eat wood from the inside, so the first sign is often small: a few droppings, a mud tube or a soft spot in trim.

An inspection is a person with a flashlight and a moisture meter looking at the places wood meets soil, water or the roofline. It's thorough but it isn't X-ray vision.

You get a written report of what we saw. A report doesn't promise anything, and it doesn't cover damage.

Signs you have it

  • Small piles of pellet-like droppings under a window frame or baseboard
  • Thin mud tubes along a foundation or inside a crawl space
  • Wood that sounds hollow or feels soft when you press it
  • Discarded wings near a window after a warm spring or fall day

What we do

Four steps, in this order

An inspection is one visit. Treatment, if needed, is scoped and quoted in writing first.

  1. 01

    Step 1: Inspect

We check the foundation, crawl space or slab edge, attic and the wood trim, as far as we can safely reach.

  2. 02

    Step 2: Identify

We tell you what kind of termite it looks like, because treatments differ.

  3. 03

    Step 3: Treat

If we find activity, we give you a written scope of the treatment and what it covers, before any work.

  4. 04

    Step 4: Prevent

We tell you about moisture, wood-to-soil contact and the repairs that make a house less inviting.

Your part

Before and after the visit

  • Before we come

    • Clear access to the crawl space and attic hatches

    • Move stored items away from the walls

    • Tell us where you've seen droppings or soft wood

  • After we leave

    • Read the written report and keep it with your house papers

    • Fix the moisture problems we pointed out

    • Book the next inspection when the report says to

Questions

Questions about this visit

Does a termite report promise anything?

No. It says what we saw on the day. It doesn't promise that termites aren't there or won't come, and it doesn't pay for damage.

Do you do inspections for home sales?

Ask when you call. Some reports for a sale are done on a separate form, and we tell you which we can write.

What if the pests come back?

Call the number. If the pest we treated for comes back within 60 days of a visit, we return and treat the same areas at no charge. That covers the pests named on your service report. It doesn't cover pests we didn't treat for, or entry points we asked you to seal that stay open. Plan customers get return visits between scheduled visits for as long as the plan is active.
